SONEKA, set across the land of Wattsu in Hokkaido,
presents its very first outdoor gastronomy event.
The stage is the forest, beneath the summer night sky of Hokkaido.
Feeling the fire, the earth, and the wind, two chefs plate the land itself.

The setting is the forest of SONEKA.
We invite you to a gastronomic experience found nowhere else —
one that lets you savor the terroir of Hokkaido with all five senses.

It is more than a meal: it is experiencing the summer of Hokkaido with all your senses.

The Chefs
Chef Shota Itoi — eaufeu
eaufeu Shota Itoi 糸井 章太

Shota Itoi was born in Kyoto in 1992 and trained in France, Japan, and the United States, including at the three-Michelin-starred Auberge de l'Ill, Manresa, and The French Laundry. In 2018, he became the youngest-ever winner of RED U-35, and was later named to Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30. Today, as Chef of Auberge eaufeu in Ishikawa, he creates a cuisine deeply rooted in the character and terroir of the region.

Chef Kouhei Ooyama — SONEKA
SONEKA Kouhei Ooyama 大山 航平

Born in Hokkaido, Ooyama honed his skills at a Michelin-recognized Italian restaurant in Sapporo before pursuing a cuisine rooted in local produce and open-fire technique. As Chef at SONEKA — a private villa resort in Wattsu, Hokkaido — he crafts seasonal, place-driven gastronomy that captures the forests, meadows, and terroir of the land on every plate. Through fire, fermentation, and the produce of each season, his dishes reflect the very landscape of Hokkaido.

Guest Information

Dress
The venue is outdoors. Temperatures can drop depending on the weather and time of day, so we recommend bringing a jacket or extra layer.
Footwear
You will be walking on soil and grass. Please avoid heels or other hard-to-walk-in footwear and wear comfortable shoes.
Weather
The event will be held in light rain. In severe weather, the format may change or the event may be cancelled.
Photography
You are welcome to take photos amid the beautiful natural scenery.

Please let us know in advance of any food allergies or ingredients you would prefer to avoid.
Access & Transport
Free parking is available for those arriving by car. As alcohol is served, please refrain from drinking if you are driving.
