Terms of Use

In order to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, SONEKA (lodging facility) requires all guests to abide by the following rules in accordance with Article 10 of the Terms and Conditions of Accommodation. Failure to comply with the items stipulated in these rules may result in refusal of continued stay in accordance with Article 7 of the Terms and Conditions of Accommodation. We appreciate your understanding.

  • Do not smoke in the guest rooms, other places where fires are likely to occur, or anywhere other than the designated areas of the hotel.
  • Do not disturb other guests by singing or talking loudly, or engaging in other noisy behavior.
  • Do not bring any of the following items into the guest rooms.
    • •Pet animals and birds (excluding guide dogs)
    • •Items that emit noticeably bad odors
    • •Significantly large quantities of items
    • •Explosives, volatile oils, and other flammable or combustible materials
    • •Guns and knives that are not legally permitted to be possessed
  • Do not engage in gambling or any other activities that may disturb public morals in the guest rooms.
  • Do not attach any objects to the building or facilities of the hotel, or do anything that would alter its current condition.
  • Do not take any items from inside the guest rooms out of the hotel and move them to another location.
  • Do not leave valuables or other items in parked vehicles.
  • We are not responsible for any items that are lost or stolen from your vehicle while it is parked.
  • Do not solicit sales of advertising materials for distribution.

Terms and Conditions for Accommodation

Article 1. Scope of Application

  1. 1. Accommodation contracts and related agreements entered into by this hotel with guests shall be in accordance with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Accommodation, and any matters not provided for in these Terms and Conditions of Accommodation shall be in accordance with laws and ordinances or generally established customs.
  2. 2. In the event that the hotel agrees to a special agreement that does not violate laws and customs, such special agreement shall prevail notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph.

Article 2. Application for Accommodation Contract

  1. 1. Those who wish to apply for an accommodation contract at this hotel are requested to provide the following information.
    1. 1) Names of guests and their contact information
    2. 2) Accommodation dates and estimated time of arrival
    3. 3)Accommodation fee (as a general rule, in accordance with the basic accommodation fee shown in Appendix 1)
    4. 4) Other matters deemed necessary by the hotel
  2. 2. In the event that a guest requests to extend their stay beyond the accommodation dates specified in Item 2 of the preceding paragraph, the hotel will treat the request as a new application for an accommodation contract at the time such a request is made.
  3. 3. In the event of any change to the contents of such a request made to this hotel in accordance with Paragraph 1, the changed contents must be reported to the hotel as soon as possible.

Article 3. Conclusion of Accommodation Contract, etc.

  1. 1. The accommodation contract shall be concluded when the hotel accepts the application as described in the preceding article. However, this does not apply when the hotel proves that it did not give its consent.
  2. 2 When an accommodation contract has been concluded pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, an application fee determined by the hotel shall be paid by the date designated by the hotel, within the limit of the basic accommodation fee for the period of stay (3 days if the period exceeds 3 days).
  3. 3. In the event that the provisions of Article 6 and Article 17 apply, the deposit shall be applied first to the room charge ultimately payable by the guest, followed by the cancellation fee and then to compensation, and any remaining amount shall be returned at the time of payment of the charges pursuant to the provisions of Article 12.
  4. 4. In the event that the application fee stipulated in Paragraph 2 is not paid by the date designated by the hotel pursuant to the provisions of the same paragraph, the accommodation contract shall cease to be effective. However, this shall only apply in the event that the hotel has notified the guest to that effect when specifying the due date for payment of the application fee.

Article 4. Special Agreement Not Requiring the Payment of an Application Fee

  1. 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph 2 of the preceding article, the hotel may accept a special agreement under which payment of the application fee as set forth in the same paragraph is not required upon conclusion of the accommodation contract.
  2. 2. In the event that the hotel does not request payment of the application fee as stipulated in Paragraph 2 of the preceding article or does not specify the date of payment of said application fee upon accepting the application for the accommodation contract, the hotel shall be deemed to have complied with the special agreement stipulated in the preceding paragraph.

Article 5. Refusal to Enter into an Accommodation Contract

  1. 1. The hotel may refuse to enter into a contract of accommodation in the following cases.
    1. 1)When the application for accommodation is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Accommodation.
    2. 2) When there are no guest rooms available due to full occupancy.
    3. 3) When it is recognized that the person who intends to stay at the hotel is likely to commit an act contrary to public order or good morals as stipulated by laws and ordinances in connection with their stay.
    4. 4) When the person who intends to apply for accommodation or the person who intends to stay at the hotel is affiliated with an organized crime group, a group affiliated with an organized crime group, or any other antisocial force or its affiliated persons.
    5. 5) When the person who intends to apply for accommodation or the person who intends to stay at the hotel is associated with a corporation or other organization whose business activities are supported by an organized crime group or a member of an organized crime group.
    6. 6) When there is or is likely to be an assault, disorder, extortion, threat, fraud, extortion, fraud, gambling, possession or use of prohibited drugs, or any similar act by the person who intends to stay at the hotel.
    7. 7) When the hotel determines that there are other reasons similar to 4) through 6) above.
    8. 8) When it is evident that the person seeking accommodation has an infectious disease.
    9. 9) When the hotel is requested to provide services beyond what is reasonable in connection with the accommodation.
    10. 10) When the hotel is unable to accept the request for accommodation due to natural disasters, malfunctions of the facilities, or other unavoidable reasons.
    11. 11) When there is a risk that the person seeking accommodation may cause inconvenience to other guests or employees of the hotel due to intoxication, etc., or may interfere with the operation of the hotel. Also, when the hotel determines that the guest has behaved or behaved in a manner that is disruptive to other guests or employees of the hotel.
  2. 2. The notice of refusal of accommodation based on the preceding paragraph shall be given verbally, by telephone e-mail or in writing to the contact person of the applying party or the guest who made the request in accordance with Article 2, and if such notice does not reach the contact person who made the request in accordance with Article 2, the notice shall be treated as having arrived after a period of time that should normally elapse before it reaches the contact person.

Article 6. Cancellation of Contract by Guests

  1. 1. Guests may cancel the accommodation contract by making a request to the hotel.
  2. 2. In the event that a guest cancels all or part of the accommodation contract (in the event that the hotel has designated a date for payment of the deposit and requested payment thereof pursuant to Article 3, Paragraph 2, except in the event that the guest has cancelled the accommodation contract prior to such payment), the hotel will charge a penalty fee in accordance with the provisions of Appendix 2. However, in the event that the hotel has agreed to the special agreement stipulated in Article 4, Paragraph 1, it is only when the hotel has notified the guest of the obligation to pay a penalty when the guest cancels the accommodation contract in response to such special agreement.
  3. 3. In the event that a guest does not arrive at the hotel at the scheduled time of arrival on the day of stay (10:00 p.m. on the day of stay if the estimated time of arrival is not specified in advance), the hotel may deem the accommodation contract to have been cancelled by the guest and treat the guest's failure as a cancellation.

Article 7. Right to Cancel the Accommodation Contract

  1. 1. The hotel may cancel the accommodation contract in the following cases.
    1. 1) When a guest fails to comply with the Terms and Conditions of Accommodation and the hotel's Terms of Use.
    2. 2) When it is recognized that the guest is likely to commit an act contrary to public order or good morals as stipulated by laws and regulations in connection with their stay, or when it is recognized that the guest has committed such an act.
    3. 3) When it is evident that the guest has an infectious disease, or is suffering from any other disease that may be contracted due to infection.
    4. 4) When it is impossible to accommodate guests due to force majeure such as natural disasters.
    5. 5) When it is recognized that the guest is likely to adversely affect other guests due to intoxication, etc., or when the guest has said or done something that is extremely disturbing to other guests.
    6. 6) When a guest does not comply with the prohibitions in the Terms of Use set forth by the hotel.
    7. 7) When a guest does not comply with the prohibitions of the rules of use (limited to those necessary for fire prevention) established by the hotel, such as smoking in the guest room, tampering with firefighting equipment, etc.
    8. 8) When a guest is found to belong to an organized crime group, a member of an organized crime group, affiliated with an organized crime group, or any other antisocial force.
    9. 9) When a guest is found to be associated with a corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an organized crime group or a member of an organized crime group.
    10. 10) When a guest is found to be associated with a corporation and one of its officers is found to be a member of an organized crime group.
    11. 11) When a guest makes an intimidating or unreasonable demand such as threats of violence or blackmail to the hotel or its staff (employees), or demands a burden that exceeds a reasonable range, or when it is known that a similar behavior has previously taken place at this or another hotel.
  2. 2. The notice of cancellation pursuant to the preceding paragraph shall be given verbally or by telephone e-mail or in writing to the contact person of the applying party or the guest who has made a request pursuant to Article 2, and if such notice does not reach the contact person who has made a request pursuant to Article 2, the notice shall be treated as having arrived after the period during which it should normally have reached the contact person has elapsed.
  3. 3. When the hotel cancels the accommodation contract pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, no charge for accommodation services, etc. that have not yet been provided to the guest will be collected.

Article 8. Registration of Guests

  1. 1. Guests are required to register the following items at the front desk (reception) of the hotel on the day of their stay.
    1. 1) Name, age, gender, address and occupation of the guest
    2. 2) For foreigners who do not have a registered domicile in Japan, please enter your passport number, place of entry and date of entry in the guest list (a copy of your passport will be taken for confirmation.)
    3. 3) Departure date and scheduled departure time
    4. 4) Other matters deemed necessary by the hotel/li>
  2. 2. In the event that a guest wishes to pay the charges stipulated in Article 12 by a method that can be substituted for currency, such as an accommodation voucher or credit card accepted by the hotel, the guest must present such information at the time of registration as stipulated in the preceding paragraph, and the hotel will retain such information.

Article 9. Guest Room Usage Hours

  1. 1. Guests may use the hotel guest room from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. the following day. However, when staying for consecutive nights, guests may use the hotel guest room for the entire day except for the day of arrival and the day of departure.
  2. 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the hotel may accept the use of a guest room outside of the hours specified in the preceding paragraph. In the event that the hotel accepts the use of a guest room after hours, the following additional fees will be charged.
    1. 1) 30% of the excess daily guest room charge for up to 3 hours beyond the specified period
    2. 2) 50% of the excess daily guest room charge for up to 6 hours beyond the specified period
    3. 3) 100% of the excess daily guest room charge for over 6 hours beyond the specified period

Article 10. Compliance with Rules of Use

  1. 1. Guests are required to follow the rules of use established by the hotel posted within the facility.

Article 11. Business Hours

  1. 1. The business hours of the main facilities of the hotel are as follows, and the detailed business hours of other facilities will be announced on the bulletin boards in each room and in the guest rooms.
    1. 1) Front desk service hours: 10:00 p.m. / Facility gates will be locked at 10:00 p.m. (numerical keypad operation will be used after 10:00 p.m.)
    2. 2) The hours in the preceding paragraph may be changed temporarily if necessary or unavoidable. In such cases, a notice will be given in an appropriate manner.

Article 12. Payment of Charges

  1. 1. The breakdown of accommodation charges to be paid by the guest shall be as shown in Appendix 1.
  2. 2. Payment of the accommodation charge, etc. set forth in the preceding paragraph shall be made at the front desk upon making a reservation, at the time of the guest's departure, or when requested by the hotel, in currency or by a method that can be substituted for currency such as a credit card or other accommodation voucher accepted by the hotel.
  3. 3. Room charges shall apply even if the guest voluntarily does not stay in the guest room after the hotel has offered the room to the guest and made it available for use.

Article 13. Payment of Charges

  1. 1. The hotel will compensate for any damage caused to the guest in the performance or non-performance of the accommodation contract and related agreements. However, this does not apply when the reason is not attributable to the hotel.
  2. 2. The hotel is covered by liability insurance in case of fire or other emergency.

Article 14. Payment of Charges

  1. 1. If the hotel is unable to provide the guest with the room for which they have agreed, the hotel will, with the consent of the guest, arrange other accommodations under the same conditions as far as possible.
  2. 2. If, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the hotel is unable to arrange other accommodations, it will pay compensation to the guest in an amount equivalent to the penalty, and the compensation will be applied to the amount of compensation for the loss. However, if the inability to provide a guest room is not attributable to reasons beyond the control of the hotel, no compensation will be paid.

Article 15. Handling of Deposited Items, etc.

  1. 1. In the event of any loss, damage, etc. to items, cash, or valuables left at the front desk by a guest, the hotel will compensate for the loss, except in cases where the loss, damage, etc. was caused by force majeure. However, in the event that the hotel requires the guest to disclose the type and value of cash and/or valuables and the guest fails to do so, the hotel will compensate for the damage up to the limit of 400,000 yen.
  2. 2. In the event of any loss or damage caused by the intentional or negligent act of the hotel, the hotel will compensate for the loss or damage of any items, cash, or valuables that the guest brought into the hotel and did not leave at the front desk. However, in the event that the hotel requires the guest to disclose the type and value of cash and/or valuables and the guest fails to do so, the hotel will compensate for the damage up to the limit of 400,000 yen.

Article 16. Storage of Baggage or Personal Belongings of Guests

  1. 1. In the event that a guest's baggage arrives at the hotel prior to their stay, the hotel will take responsibility for its safekeeping only when the guest's baggage has been accepted by the hotel prior to their arrival, and will hand it over to the guest when they check in at the front desk.
  2. 2. In the event that a guest's baggage or personal belongings are left at the hotel after the guest has checked out, they shall be kept for 6 months from the date of discovery and subsequently disposed of. However, perishables will be disposed of within one day, foodstuffs within two to three days, and valuables will be kept in a safe for one week before being reported to the police. When handing over valuables, please have something to prove your identity for verification. Please note that we will not contact you to confirm any lost or found items after you have checked out.
  3. 3. In the case of the preceding two paragraphs, the responsibility of the hotel for the custody of the guest's baggage or personal belongings shall conform to the provisions of Paragraph 1 of the preceding article in the case of Paragraph 1, and to the provisions of Paragraph 2 of the same article in the case of Paragraph 2 of the preceding article.

Article 17. Responsibility for Parking

  1. 1. In the event that a guest uses the parking lot for guests provided by the hotel, regardless of whether or not the guest has deposited the keys to the vehicle, the hotel will rent the parking lot to the guest and will not be responsible for the management of their vehicle. However, if any damage is caused by the intentional or negligent act of the hotel while managing the parking lot, the hotel shall be liable to compensate for the damage.

Article 18. Responsibility of Guests

  1. 1. In the event that the hotel suffers damages due to the intentional or negligent act of a guest, said guest shall compensate the hotel for such damages.
  2. 2. Parents or guardians must approve and agree that any accidents or injuries to persons under 18 years of age will be handled at their own risk before they use the facilities.

Article 19

  1. 1. We will handle any personal information provided by our guests appropriately in accordance with our privacy policy.

Article 20. Amendment to the Terms and Conditions

  1. 1. These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time as necessary. In the event of any amendment to these Terms and Conditions, the amended provisions shall be posted on the website, and the amended provisions shall apply from the effective date specified at the time of posting. In the event of any amendments to these Terms and Conditions, the contents of such amendments will be made known in writing or by appropriate means, such as in-room information.
